Magiel café is a restaurant&café located in Warsaw Sielce district (part of Dolny Mokotów). The word “magiel” means “clothes wringer” - in reference to a laundry which were previously there (over more than 20 years!).

We proudly announce that Magiel café ranks among Top 5 organic/slow food restaurants and Top 5 restaurants serving Polish cuisine in Warsaw – according to restaurant review website Kulinarnik.pl 2011 Awards.

We call our cuisine "śródziemnopolska" because it mixes Mediterranean ("śródziemnomorska") and Polish ("polska") influences, with a touch of Indian and Arabic inspirations too! We cook basing on seasonal ingredients. Beside our standard menu, additional dishes of the day - fish, meat and vegetarian - are proposed on daily bases. Magiel Café is also notorious for its cakes and pastries. All dishes are home-made and based exclusively on fresh ingredients, organic whenever possible.

Our wines come from small, family-owned French vineyards. Among them - several certified organic wines. All are carefully choosen for their high quality and are proposed at highly reasonable prices.

For beer-lovers we have a range of beers coming from small, traditional Polish breweries - the kind of beers usually hard to find in classical shops, bars or restaurants.

  The atmosphere of the place is warm and friendly. The interior design is a mix of slow design, recycled design and loft design influences.

Renovated second-hand "granny" chairs don't bother standing close to "loft design icons" such as Modele A chairs created in XX Century Thirties by designer Xavier Pauchard for French manufacturer Tolix.

Reclaimed washing machine drums are turned into lamps. Tables are made of wood reclaimed from a century old ruined house. On the walls - a lot of interesting vintage exhibits (old clothes wringers, hangers and pins, manual washing machines and devices, vintage ads for soaps and washing powders).

Magiel Café is 100% smoke-free.
Credit cards are accepted. Pets are welcome.
